A musical start to the school year with Fanny Bloom, l’OSM and maestro Rafael Payare !
On Friday, September 29, 2023, hundreds of thousands of students from Quebec and French-speaking Canada will kick off the 27th Journées de la culture by performing Le Grand Rendez-vous, an original composition by Fanny Bloom and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, conducted by Maestro Rafael Payare.

« What an immense privilege to be entrusted with the mandate of writing Une chanson à l’école! I wanted the voices of youth to be raised to invite us to become aware of the efforts we must make to preserve our environment, our planet, on which we are lucky enough to live and grow. I wanted to give children and teenagers the power to speak frankly to us. Without being moralistic, my text is meant to be luminous, playful and full of hope, but it implies that we should not blind ourselves to the urgency of acting. Humbly, I offer you this little piece of hope, a stardust engraved forever in my heart, and I invite you all to this Grand rendez-vous brought to you by the extraordinary musicians of the OSM and its maestro, Rafael Payare! »
