{"id":130254,"date":"2026-04-28T15:06:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T19:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.journeesdelaculture.qc.ca\/?page_id=130254"},"modified":"2026-05-21T17:03:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T21:03:24","slug":"jaime-les-mots-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.journeesdelaculture.qc.ca\/en\/jaime-les-mots-2026","title":{"rendered":"J\u2019aime les mots \u2014 2026 Anglais"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you like memes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You\u2019ll love&nbsp;J\u2019aime les mots!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers, librarians, those in charge of extracurricular or leisure activities, take part in the 9<sup>th<\/sup> edition of &#8220;J&#8217;aime les mots&#8221;, a fun turnkey activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re teaching French, history, art, drama, mathematics or any other subject, get your students to create memes to express themselves on issues big and small, or to react to current events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Launched on Friday September 25<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026, the activity will run until Friday October 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Four TOP 5s!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Will your students&#8217; memes charm our patron (to be announced on June 9)? On Fridays October 2, 9, 16 and 23, <\/strong>she will draw up a list of her five favorite memes of the past week and explain her choices in a newsletter sent to all registered teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use her explanations to enrich the activity and fuel classroom discussion!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rich and varied image banks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Humor, poetry, philosophical reflection, irony\u2026 All modes of expression are permitted, and the possibilities infinite, as long as you use royalty-free image banks chosen by major cultural institutions for their memorizing potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pedagogical tools<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once registered, participants automatically have access to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All images that can be used for creations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The teaching guide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A student guide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A playful presentation on the art of the meme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To complete the creation of memes, the Education Department of the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;art de Joliette has included in the guide two collective creation exercises to be done in class, using all the works, heritage objects, archival photos and artifacts of these cultural institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.journeesdelaculture.qc.ca\/jaime-les-mots-2026-inscription\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">REGISTER MY CLASS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thank you!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>J&#8217;aime les mots<\/strong>&#8221;
